Making Transitions Work for All

We are excited to announce that Glasgow City Council have established a formal partnership with Apt, and our lead partner SUSE, to design and deliver training sessions, guidance and materials to support employers to address gaps in knowledge and expertise, improving the employment opportunities of disabled people and working towards a culture of change in our workplaces.

Over the next 12 months Apt and our partners are to work with the council’s economic development officers to identify and support 10 Glasgow employers and 100 of their employees, to engage disabled people in work.

Aims and objectives so far include the delivery of a wide range of online disability awareness sessions, establishing working relationships with employers by building on mutual trust, confidentiality and professionalism and agreeing an action plan to ensure more disabled people can engage in the workplace.

This fully funded advice, support and training is available to any employer, of any size and from any sector, based or operating in the Glasgow area. If you would like to find out more, please contact Amrit Bedi (PSP Development Manager) via amrit@susescotland.scot.
