DFN Project SEARCH

Who we are

Our vision is to ensure that everyone with a learning disability or autism can attain high-quality, integrated employment in their local area. Offering a high aiming one-year transition to work programme in their final year of school or college, our approach is so much more than work experience, it is education and training at its very best!

Who we support

DFN Project SEARCH have 17 programmes in Scotland that achieve great results for young people with learning disabilities and autism in the areas where we work. We would like to work with partners in education, local government, the third sector and the private sector to have more programmes and end the postcode lottery of access

Why we’re an Apt partner

Apt aims to halve the employment gap for disabled people and by creating partnerships we can support that aim and help deliver great outcomes for people. DFN Project SEARCH is a model that is evidence based and works at scale but it is delivered by local partners and this method of delivery and approach fits well with the way Apt in Scotland is delivering.
