We work with employers across Scotland, supporting them to become more disability inclusive workplaces, where both employer and employee are set up to succeed.
Part of this work involves supporting employers to gather disability data and encouraging employees to confidently disclose and discuss their disabilities.
Employers are learning more about disability but often don’t have the information to fully understand their employees’ individual requirements.
This is why Apt have launched the Why you askin’? Campaign.
We are supporting employers to gather disability data by encouraging employees to disclose their disabilities and discuss what reasonable adjustments will make it easier for them to reach their potential, by creating an open dialogue and trust culture in organisations.
An important part of this is for employees to understand why the employer is asking for this information and feel confident that it is being used for a positive reason.
The campaign has been launched to support the employers who are working with Apt and have demonstrated their commitment to training, learning and improving their processes to become more inclusive employers.
