We are Unity (formerly Unity Enterprise) – A Scottish Charity and Social Enterprise founded in 1989. Over the years we have provided a variety of support services to people who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or at risk of exclusion across the West of Scotland. We believe in fair and inclusive communities where everyone is valued and has opportunities to fulfil their potential. We currently deliver support to carers (young and old); services for young people and adults with learning disabilities; and Spoon Cafes – Social Enterprises that offer a wide range of fresh food while also providing free food, hot drinks and informal support to people who may be affected by homelessness, poverty, exclusion and/or disadvantage.
Carers, people with learning disabilities and people who are otherise vulnerable, disadvantaged or at risk of exclusion across the West of Scotland.
We are delighted to have the opportunity to support Apt both as an organisation supporting disabled people, but also as an employer. We hope to share our experience and creativity to support new projects, and we also hope to learn more about the ways in which we can help to reduce the disability employment gap. This is a great opportunity to share in such a breadth of expertise across Scotland to try new and innovative approaches with a common aim.
